For heavy duty applications, Star offers spring-loaded "Lock & Roll" tailgate lock cylinders. These spring-loaded cylinders come in 4" and 6" bore sizes and provide the added safety of a heavy duty spring designed to keep the tailgate securely locked under the most rugged conditions.

Star "Lock & Roll" pneumatic cylinders are ideal for Tailgate Lock systems in short and long-haul trailers, dump trucks, gravel haulers and related applications. They are built for rugged performance and dependability to meet the demands of any rugged environment

Belly-Dump cylinders typically require heavy-duty pneumatic cylinders with bore sizes in the 6" to 8" range and stroke lengths between 20" and 30". Star’s expertise with these cylinder sizes comes from our experience building large bore, heavy duty cylinders over the last 40 years.
